Having proved his deep musical knowledge with updated interpretations of NYC and Italian house and then British dub house with his first 2 EPs, Richard again homes his creative mind on an inspirational epicentre and with it, beyond out in to the universe.
The interstellar oscillations emanating out of Detroit are experiments beyond techno, with the oft over looked house output of the likes of Blake Baxter and Mad Mike himself providing some of the best sound system busting club tracks ever produced.
More than mere particle showers, Richard takes up his mission with 3 deep cuts that are cosmic movements for timeless dance floors. A modern voyage on those influences and so offering a look forwards rather than simple pastiche.
The EP starter, Resistance Through Rituals, is ubiquitous Sen at his best. Driven by 808 and 909 intricacies, all overlaid with proto styling’s and dub fx, this is aimed purely at that vortexual smoke filled star dancers. Soon followed by the 5am bumping, chugging free party bass lines of Shoc Horracore, a meld of incestuous sources, working you towards the mind altered artificial horizons way beyond a red sunrise.
The end to the trilogy is also a look to new explorations. Rituals, the dub - a last stand, a sun chaser - taking the original on a journey to zero gravity, letting the symphonic space between the music move you as much as what you think you hear and what is really out there.
